The Coastline Swing Band recreates the swinging jazz sounds of the Big Band era, performing exciting compositions that span an entire century of music, including classics made famous by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Harry James and Tommy Dorsey.
In the fine tradition of these great orchestras, The Coastline Swing Band is a 17-piece jazz band consisting of five saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets, guitar, bass, piano, drums, and occasionally a female vocalist.
The Coastline Swing Band plays from 7:30 to 9:30 on the First and Third Thursdays of the Month at Venice Restaurant in Westerly, RI. featuring the vocal stylings of Joanne Rodino, and oh-so danceable music. If we get enough reservations, there will be a dance floor. Get your reservations in early, at least a week or 10 days ahead, and be sure to say you want to be near the band! Call 401-348-0055.
